To determine the titer, an ELISA was performed using a serial dilution of the DNMT1 antibody (bs-53048R). The plates were coated with peptides. By plotting the absorbance against the antibody dilution, the titer of the antibody was estimated to be 1:9,600.

Background Methylates CpG residues. Preferentially methylates hemimethylated DNA. Associates with DNA replication sites in S phase maintaining the methylation pattern in the newly synthesized strand, that is essential for epigenetic inheritance.
